Microsoft is preparing to retire the Internet Explorer 11 browser on June 15, 2022, but there are a few important caveats. Everyone knew the day would come when Microsoft finally ditched the old Internet Explorer browser. If we consider those exceptions, it looks like IE will be around in some capacity even past then.

Today, the Internet Explorer (IE) 11 desktop application goes out of support and will be retired for certain versions of Windows 10. Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 1.0 With Windows 10, Edge became the default Microsoft browser, but Internet Explorer could still be found in the Windows Accessories folder. Not so much.
